The 1st FSCC Soil Physical Ring Test framed within FutMon Action D3 on soil water balances. FSCC  compared the soil water retention characteristic of a loamy soil sample with less than 5% coarse material among 23 laboratories participating in this action.

Each laboratory received 5 replicates of the same sample. All analyses had to be done according to the ‘FutMon protocol for the determination of the soil water retention characteristic, Version 1.2. (Method sheet SA14)’.For details, see the protocol. The Report can be donwloaded here.
